Tips for Candidates

When applying for specific vacancies you should:

  • Be concise
  • Organise your application
  • Provide a completed Applicant Personal Details Form
  • Detail relevant educational qualifications
  • Be prepared to arrange referee reports commenting on your ability to meet the selection criteria

Please do NOT:

  • Provide excessive information on experience that is not relevant to the advertised position or selection criteria – irrelevant information may mask your true capabilities
  • Make the entire application long and unorganised, covering the same information in many areas
  • Use fancy folders to dress up the application – they only are separated and thrown away! (AOFM prefers electronic applications via email)
